>The Lightning Hybrids LH4 has finally hit the road for prototype testing. Looking like a retro-futuristic corvette and powered by a hydraulic hybrid powertrain, the car gets 240 BHP from its combined engine and hydraulic pump system. The company claims it can go from 0-60 in less than six seconds and get more than 100 MPG.
Lightning Hybrids hopes to enter the car into the Progressive Automotive X Prize, and they say they need $5 million more to produce the car for sale around $60,000.
