The Edison Awards, celebrating 25 years of honoring innovators and innovations, have announced a call for nominations for this prestigious annual award. For a quarter of a century, the Edison Awards have recognized innovation in product and services design, sustainability and marketing establishing itself as one of the highest accolades a company can receive in the name of innovation.
The Edison Awards symbolize the persistence and excellence personified by Thomas Edison, while also inspiring the human drive for innovation, creativity, and ingenuity. Unique to global design and innovation awards, The Edison Awards recognize the team of innovators and their innovations. The Edison Awards are known around the world for recognizing and honoring innovation, achievement and excellence in the development, marketing and launch of new products and services. Nominations are judged against a set of criteria which highlight and capture the true spirit of innovation.
Nominations for the Edison Awards will be reviewed by the members of the Edison Awards Steering Committee, who develop a list of finalists in each of the Best New Product/Service and Green Award categories. A panel of more than 3,000 senior business executives, product engineers, designers, innovation thought leaders and academics from across the nation vote on “game changing” products and services that focus on excellence and leadership in innovation.

The deadline for nominations for the 2012 Awards is December 2, 2011. Finalists will be notified via email the week of February 13, 2012 and the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be unveiled at the Edison Awards Gala on April 26, 2012 in New York City.
