It looks like a giant step has been made in tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) technology.
Both the 2013 Nissan Altima and Quest have what the company calls its “Easy Fill Tire Alert.” Here’s how it works, according to a video in the digital brochure for the Quest:
“If you get a low tire, Quest gives you a head’s up, and when you stop for air, you won’t need a tire pressure gauge. Quest’s Easy Fill Tire Alert eliminates any guesswork. As you fill your tire, the lights start flashing and when you’ve reached the correct pressure, you’ll hear a friendly beep of the horn.”
