From the The University of Michigan Eco-Driving Index (EDI): the average fuel economy (window-sticker value) of new vehicles sold in the U.S. in August was at a record high of 25.8 mpg—up 0.2 mpg from the value in July. Vehicle fuel economy is up 5.7 mpg since October 2007.
